next it was time to remove the body, take into account im doing all this on my drive as i dont have a garage yet the neighbours have been very good and i think intreged as to what im doing.
i organised one of my friends to come round with his 9mtr telehandler  .
so 1 month ago on a nice saterday morning the time was 7:58am and all you could here was the sounds of birds and a clanging of the 9 mtr telehandler as it made its way round the estate  .
10 mins later the body was on the back of my plant trailer and ready for the weigh bridge at clancys

then it was time to start the hunt for defender panels at a sensible price :? not so easy.
i found a breakers down south that had everything i needed and promised it next day delivery  so i handed over my hard earned and finally 2 weeks later my next day delivery arrived  incomplete.
there is something to be said about just jumping in the car with trailer and getting it yourself.

ok now for the thinking bit!!!
i had to build up the body and position it in a place that suited both steering and gear linkage as the disco box is longer and also the rear outriggers would be in the way of the rear trailing arm brackets so i just fabricated some nice shiny ones :D

once these bits were done it was time to see if the tape measure had lied to me on marking out and fit the allready built cab onto the chassis.
i had already sat the front hoop sockets in place as so i didnt have to undo bolts afterwards 8)
