Disappointed with Humber 4x4

Post by Bramblefly » Mon Jul 28, 2014 6:17 pm

I saw Chris Blake's ad on face book for rock sliders and wanted some for my new toy, a SWB land Cruiser colorado. I contacted Humber 4x4 in May and got the order sorted and paid for. Chris has not supplied these sliders and has not contacted me apart from one phone call mid June apologising for the delay and blaming courier hassles. I have been waiting two months and have had no sliders and now no communication. The 4x4 community round here, Sussex, are a fairly close bunch who do not like it when people are not treated fairly. I hope the same is true of the Hull 4x4ers and I hope that you can all exert some peer pressure to get Chris Blake to refund me the £150 he appears to have ripped me off. If he does not get in contact very soon I will have to start small claims court proceedings against him and Humber 4x4. :(

I did realise that Hull 4x4 is not Humber 4x4 but saw that Chris posts a lot here and as he does not reply to emails and phone calls I hope this would prompt a response. I'll keep trying. Thanks for your support Dav

Some success he has now answered my last call and hopefully we will get this resolved amicably. It seems contacting the forum was the catalyst that was needed.

I am very pleased to say that Chris Blake has finally delivered (in person) a wonderfully strong, well made set of sliders. Only a few months after expected but at least I have them now. Any other work I might want from Chris I will make sure I come up and collect as I wouldn't want to go through all of this hassle again.
Thanks for all of you messages, pm's and calls of support I am sure peer pressure helped.
Off to paint them before fitting.
