New member wondered if anyone was greenlaning?

Post by Rich » Sun Feb 23, 2014 8:25 pm

Hello all, my names Rich & have a disco 300tdi which is fairly modified.
Was just wondering if anyone was going greenlaning on a weekend in the Yorkshire area in the next month or so?

Here’s a pic of my disco at frickley

I have done frickley a few times but fancied exploring some of the lanes round yorkshire if anyone had any plans in the near future?

Cheers
Rich

Hi rich and welcome

Just worth a mention if your laning that way I (and I think dav too) have been politely asked to avoid the lane from sledmere monument to wetwang in winter months to avoid damaging it any more.

We can argue all day that a right of way exists, but the worse it gets the morehorse riders and walkers will complain and more likely it will end up getting shut down.

That said have a good day out I'd be up for but got a job on I cant afford to turn down

Mon - Fri is a no go for me Dav as yes i have a proper job

Looks like i'm going to give today a miss tbh coz no one else seems bothered.
I could go out this morning & meet up with you this aft but i don't know many lanes really, plus it's pretty boring being the only vehicle.
I'd imagine this aft would be pretty good but we're quite a distance apart & I need to be back for 4pm so a bit of a drive for an hour or 2 of laning.

I certainly don't mind driving up to meet a different weekend if it's possible a make a day of it

I'll give you a shout on the mob & see if we can arrange something
